TAKING A BREAK

These guys were working hard cleaning up the debris in the streets of Baghdad. After working to make a load they decided to take a break.

GROCERY SHOPPING

This may be one of those rare photo's, a once in a lifetime event captured on digits, an Iraqi man buying groceries. Most the time I see the women buying groceries never the man.

RURAL FAMILY PROFILE

This is typical of this culture to have a large family. You can see the mom and all her children in this shot. This lady had six kids. Now if the guy had two wives he would have to have twelve kids. Six by each wife...

HAULING HAY

This boy has found a way to work smart. He loads the donkey up with fodder for the cows and then rides the donkey home then gets his sister to unload the fodder. The Iraqi soldiers gave the boy a flag as a gift for his hard work...

USING YOUR HEAD

This woman has got it together she can haul things on the top of her head and has free use of her hands so she can carry more stuff. No thats using your head...

ARABIAN HORSE CLUB

The newest member to the horse club of Baghdad. This is one of the horses of Saddam which are to believed to be of the purest of all Arabian horses in the world..

FODDER FOR THE CATTLE

I orginally thought this was firewood but I was wrong its fodder for the milk cow. I am not sure what type of tree branches she is carrying on her back or if the cow will even eat it, but I guess when your tied to a stake you don't have a choice. Again another hard day for the female...

STANDING ON TOP OF THE WORLD

It felt like I was on top of the world while I was on the balcony looking out across the palace lakes as you can see for a long distance. Suzie you can have all this just meet me in Baghdad...

DEAD COW ROAD

This is the place they bring dead animals and unused animal parts. The smell as you can only imagine is nauseating to say the least. Some of the soldiers could not eat dinner after this mission...

WORKING ON A CHAIN GANG

Ok somebody owes me a STEAK DINNER. I finally found a group of Iraqi men working. Not one but a whole group at that I might add and they were working very hard.

FARM HANDS FOR HIRE

Here is a group of farm laborer's. They said they would love to come to America and work in the cotton fields. They work cheap too. If anyone is interested send a pre-paid ticket to the local argriculture Baghdad office...

LIVING IN THE DUMPS

In north Baghdad these people have choosen to make their home in the middle of a dump. It is truly amazing to me how these people live. One day I saw them bathing in a pool of water in the middle of the dump. National Geographic here is a story to be told...
