FRESH CHICKEN MEAT

If your not happy with the frozen chickens at the local grocery store you might want to come to Iraq where freshness is guarnteed. You pick out which chicken you want then the guy kills it and bleeds it in the proper way and puts it in a plastic bag for you. Paper or pucking feathers is extra. The guy is bleeding a chicken in this picture.

Reminds me of when I was a kid. Picking the feathers was not fun. We dipped them in scalding hot water and they would pull off easier. The pin feathers took more time.

So, are you home now? I thought you were still in Iraq. Was wondering why you hadn't posted lately. I enjoy your pictures of the life there. It puts a human face on the people. I didn't realize they had "greenhouses." For some silly reason, I had it in my had that there was endless sand and the only green was ar oasis, lol. Too many Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour movies!

Good day MSG. I'm currently at Camp Victory in Baghdad. I must say that your pics are interesting and hillarious. (i have a weird humor like that It is good to see something different than a computer screen and a bunch of high brass folks. I grew up in the Virgin Islands and my mom had a ton of chickens in the yard. It was her thing. So much so that she names EVERY SINGLE ONE. She could point them all out. It was amazing. Nothing like home grown chicken. Thanks for your point of view. It is very refreshing.

I post my laughable times on a blog too. If ya like to see what I witness from month to month, drop by and have a giggle or two. (http://verdeuno.eponym.com/blog)

    Take care ya'll.

You should get a new project or better yet join the Army. I do not appreciate your links and using my blog in that way. If you have something worthwhile to share with people then leave your comment.

    Good Day to you MSG,
Would you happen to have any information on mistreatment of chickens being raised for fod?
Also, do you come to West Virginia to the Gauley River to do any whitewater rafting?
