Need a speaker for a meeting? I have two picture slide show presentations which show unique things during my two tours while serving in Iraq. If interested you may call me at 325-947-4870 or email at ronnie@wtxs.net to schedule a time. One program is on the intial invasion of Iraq, it takes you through the war and ends in Baghdad showing the situtation at hand,and some of the intial projects that were implimented after the war. The second program focuses on the agricultural sector of Iraq from the stuggles of the Iraqi farmer trying to produce a crop to the implimentation of policy from the office of the Minister of Agricultural. The program normally runs aproximately 45 minutes, but can be catered to your paticular situtation. This blog is not intended to be polictical. I appreciate your comments and I do this as a public service to educate people. All expenses for this blog I bear myself. Enjoy.

Reminds me of when I was a kid. Picking the feathers was not fun. We dipped them in scalding hot water and they would pull off easier. The pin feathers took more time.

So, are you home now? I thought you were still in Iraq. Was wondering why you hadn't posted lately. I enjoy your pictures of the life there. It puts a human face on the people. I didn't realize they had "greenhouses." For some silly reason, I had it in my had that there was endless sand and the only green was ar oasis, lol. Too many Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour movies!

Good day MSG. I'm currently at Camp Victory in Baghdad. I must say that your pics are interesting and hillarious. (i have a weird humor like that It is good to see something different than a computer screen and a bunch of high brass folks. I grew up in the Virgin Islands and my mom had a ton of chickens in the yard. It was her thing. So much so that she names EVERY SINGLE ONE. She could point them all out. It was amazing. Nothing like home grown chicken. Thanks for your point of view. It is very refreshing.

Would you happen to have any information on mistreatment of chickens being raised for fod?
