This is one example of how the farmers market their corn. They pile it up along side the road or at a local market place and sell it by the ear. I was told that this is for both human and animal consumption. Now that's an ear full...
Have someone send you some sweet corn seed...You'll start a whole new thing! If they can grow cattle corn, they can grow sweet corn... We lived in Germany about 35 years ago - my son's German friend asked him "please - before you leave, show me how you cook the corn so it's sweet like you have!" His uncle raised corn, and they'd tried _everything_ to make it 'sweet'...picked it early, boiled it, roasted it...everything they could think of. He was astounded to learn that it was an entirely different variety, and had nothing to do with anything we did.
Ronnie, Just read the article in Farm Journal. Could not pass up the opportunity to say to you and all others with you how much I appreciate what you do, that you will make a difference in the lives of others and to know prayers are said on your behalf daily. Please pass this on to all troops there. Thanks.
Need a speaker for a meeting? I have a fantastic slide show presentation which show unique things during my two tours in Iraq. If interested give me a call at 325-947-4870 or email at ronnie@wtxs.net for an appointment.
I have two programs one is on the intial invasion of Iraq, it takes you through the war and ends in Baghdad showing you the situtation and some of the intial projects, concerns, and overall situtation during that time period.
The second program focuses on the agricultural sector of Iraq from the producer to the Minister of Agricultural who sets policy for the country.
The program usally runs aproximately 45 minutes, but can be catered to your situtation.
