I'm curious what became of former Cargill honcho (and former USDA honcho) Daniel Amstutz who went to Iraq - as I recall the date - in about mid 2003 - to head a Transitional Government effort to "reform Iraqi agriculture." My concern is that he would push Iraq into the global competitiveness that is SO MUCH LESS WISE than attaining a reasonable balance (parity) within their domestic economy. I'd much appreciate your sharing any thoughts with me: dondeichman@hotmail.com. (I'm on a serious effort to assure that the Murtha proposal to bring home the troops "as soon as is practicable" - while re-deploying a rapid response force in a nearby Middle East location, like Kuwait.)
